Google Play Music, the company’s streaming audio service is called its first original podcast, a series of travel documentaries -Show-like home “Soundtrack of the city.”
The first three episodes are now available on Google Play Music and iTunes. Each one has a prominent figure in the music department of the city.
The city and covered in this first batch of Austin, Texas / Spoon artists, New Orleans / Big Freedia and Oakland, California / Kehlani. If the host HrishikeshHirway sounds familiar, it is because he and the podcast “Song Explosion” and “The West Wing Week.”
Google describes the new show as “conversation is about people, places and moments that shape our musical life.”
